Mike is asked by Heart FM to comment on the budget and says, "My initial feelings are it's going to be difficult.  It's going to be tough for a lot of people but we could not have carried on the way we were."

He goes on to explain how this will affect consumers and raises his concerns about the VAT rise for some households and what they need to do to control their spending. Mike also reveals his highs and lows of the budget and questions why footballers for example earning £120,000 per week are still entitled to child benefit.
